my cancun trip next wk got cancelled b/c of a fukn level 5 hurricane warning. dont they only go up to 5? anyways, i'm sooo bummed. POO.

goddammit.

where does the time fukn go? ok, half of it goes to sleeping, but wut about the other half? well the year of oh-7 started off with a bang but i think august will be the beginning of a long and a lazy lull...

anyhoo, useless musings thus far:
- i am old (i realize this all too frequently) and NOT aging gracefully. =(
- i hate boston
- i hate bonds
- cmon, 500!
- i miss the cat already
- the power of 3 is still intact
- i hate the heat
- LA has the best weather, hands down (and mexican food and korean food- duh)
- my current obsession: all things furry (i.e. cats, dogs, polar bear cubs, etc)
- simpsons is still da shit and the movie did not disappoint (u were right, overly sensitive)
- unemployment is fukn fantastic! until u realize how broke u are.
- i want to be back in europe
- vegas is GREAT! but only if u win
- i am NOT a priss. just some prissy tendencies
- i want kids only so i can pester the shit outta them, heheheh.
- guys are fukn idiots- and i'm not saying this out of some man-hating malice, its from hearing and witnessing all my idiot guy frenz. are all my guy frenz idiots? for crying out loud...!
- but there are just as many (if not more) psycho retarded girls out there too
- getting older doesnt always mean getting wiser
- sometimes it just means getting dumber...and weaker

tonite was a good nite to dine alfresco...it was quite nice.  j and i relived the european dining experience by sitting side by side facing the street until y arrived. *sigh*....can i go back to europe already? no? alas.....
now i am way too full and waiting for the slight buzz to wear off so i can battle the humidity and try to sleep. for now i have my trusty gatorade and tivo'd bb2n.  wut would i do w/o them??? surely i would perish.

7pm- bistro burger and beers w/ n
830pm- martinis and ballgame
11pm- gatorade and turkey blt from deli on walk home
midnite- stuffed and passed out on couch watching bb2n

yup, i'm back all right. now i just need a daytime buddy!

despite 110-115 temps, it was quite fun b/c it was DRY heat. i think the only time i broke a sweat was while tanning by the pool. conversely in nyc, all i have to do is breathe and i'm sweating bullets. soooo gross. the worst part about getting a tan tho? looking like u got dirty feet. ugh. but overall it was nice short trip where all meals= buffets (whoo hoo!), the kids had fun, and i didnt leave in the red.  

unfortunately tho, i missed the entire all star wknd festivities. come to think of it, i missed last year's too cuz of sin city. thank god for sc and bb2n. my one wish for the 2nd half? no more ugly white shoes w/ dark knee high socks! ew, wut were u thinking dude?  anyhoo, 72 more hours before landing back in the dirty apple.

saw transformers tonite. not only was it a damn good movie, it was one of the KOOLEST movies ever! no seriously, it was one BADASS movie. i dare venture to say it was fukn RAD.damn it was good. despite the oh-too-typical and trite michael bay scenes and slow-mo's, it was seriously da shit! i could definitely watch it again. like right now.  they made megatron look SOOO evil! much more so than the cartoon. but there were so many great and pleasant surprises in the movie i was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

92 degrees. i think nyc summers are my krptonite. it debilitates and immobilizes me like no other. oh, and it's like i'm pmsing 24/7 b/c the damn heat makes me soooo cranky. nobods enjoys being baked alive. just ask a pizza or a ... ok, i wont go there. but y'all know what goes in that ellipses. it's fuked up, i kno- i was just in berlin. photoblogs of my eurotrip to follow sometime...wenever.

i was pretty active for my first day back yesterday. i dropped off some clothes at goodwill- i was sweating bullets lugging that bag there! bought a couple of cd's (yes, bought). oh, and i found another great store to lose myself in yesterday. home depot!!!! man i could spend hours in there. dangerous. altho i must say, the workers there are nowhere close to those friendly ppl portrayed on tv. "u can do it we can help" my ass! more like "u wanna do what? u can ask, we wont help." or maybe we will, but served with a large side of attitude.

my first real meal back in nyc last nite? corner bistro! oooooh damn how i missed your deliciously fat patties and bacon strips. and as per usual i ordered a stella. after being in the mothaland of beers, i had to do a doubletake. that shit looked like it was poured for frodo, all hobbit sized and shit. fer reals tho, it was hella tiny! i finished it in like 3 gulps. weeeeak! we need some liter sized mugs up here. damn right.
